A gust of warmth ruffled the leaves,
A sleepy bird let out a muffled chirp,
With it rose a mighty wind, warm and cool at once,
And the Starsong lifted to a thunderous note.
The heavens rang with the force of the song, and...
.. And the song halted as their voices were stilled.
The hunter vanished beyond beyond Sky’'s end,
And one by one the stars faded from sight.
The velvet of the night faded to a deep blue,
As the tops of the cliffs blushed pink in the dawn.
And a warm wind coursed through the forest’'s depths.
The sleeping bird woke with a full throated chirp,
As the trees thrummed with wind and song,
The waters sang, gleaming in the morning, bright,
As they swept, rippling over stones and earth
The stream rose from sleep with a melody in her waters,
As the fish sang and danced in joy in the morn.
Shadows slunk away from the joy and the power,
Trees, no longer shadowy ghosts, rose skyward,
Mighty pillars, the trees woke and sang in joy,
Adding their voices to bird, beast and wind.
Welcoming the sun with a sparkling symphony,
As she rose out of the fires of dawn....
As she raised her voice in song....
The Daysong had begun....
